RM – Rap Monster

Huge, huge fan of G-Dragon 🐲 and all thing YG Family! A must listen! 😍

Kel & Mel Reviews

When it comes to the way he dresses, Rap Monster of the Bangtan Boys has sometimes been compared to G-Dragon of Big Bang.  When it comes to his flow, however, RM has a flare all his own.  Catching a lot of attention for his recent collaboration with Warren G (that’s right; THAT Warren G) on the revenge track P.D.D. (Please Don’t Die) and the Krizz Kaliko-assisted Rush, his flow is a grittier and his lyrics is usually stronger.  So when he announce a freelease to get his solo career going, we were in.

Rap Monster is a nice compilation of tracks that have a consistent style to them but show his ability to diversify himself.  With slow jams and hard hitters, there is a little something here for everyone and, if you choose to look up the lyrics, you will find some nice introspection there, too.

You can download each track individually through the player…

Ré Lxuise – Give Me Love

Very nice tone in her voice. 😊

Kel & Mel Reviews

Ré Lxuise is all for what her man wants in his life…love.  With lush vocals that, at times, seemed to have a little bit of an island tone to them, her tone is enchanting.  The production is an mid-tempo pop style that fits her vocals well and has enough twists and turns in it that it could keep listeners engaged on its own.  The lyrics are nothing new but good and relatable enough to get the point across without sounding trite.

This is the second single from her three-track EP, Lxuise.

A Sarcoidosis Warriors Story – Please Read

A Warriors Story

A Warriors Story

BY: Michelle Sadler

Have spent far too much time shuffling through hospital bills I may never get paid off and praying for sick friends and family members, some undergoing chemo, some in poor health and some currently in the hospital, and others who have recently gone home to the Lord or are on their way. Just a little over a week ago, I got to that door with a double whammy of viruses that nearly changed my address to the other side. Those of you who know me know that I battle sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disease that has not only been classified as terminal, it has not responded successfully to traditional treatments, and has given me a hyper-immune system that will just as readily destroy my own cells and organs as an infectious agent in my body. When a bacterial infection weasels its way in, damage is done by inflammation, my doctors bombard me regularly with pharmaceuticals to try to suppress my Immune system, and then they put me on extreme antibiotics and steroids to both attempt to overcome the infection and control inflammation from my immune system. It’s a crap shoot and illnesses are extreme, long-lasting and frequent. Worse yet are viruses. The little monsters cannot be combatted with antibiotics, so it is a life or death battle with the virus and my suppressed immune system, which promptly goes to work destroying everything it comes in contact with. Its russian roulette of the micro-biologic kind, and is the primary cause of mortality when sarcoidosis finally destroys too many organ systems in its fight or the viruses win as the immune system fights too many battles on too many fronts and is overcome by disease. I was nearly overcome by gastroenteritis and viral pneumonia that kept me dehydrated, unable to hold down anything, too weak to stand, febrile with 104 temperature for 8 days that burned my skin like a sunburn, oxygen deprived, fainting, incoherent, and in excruciating pain as my desperate immune system went Hiroshima with inflammation in an attempt of self-preservation. In the few moments of clarity I had, I contemplated the nature of disease and accepted the fact that this could kill me. There was helplessness and grief for my family, and then the fire and fever and the sea of nothing would wash over me again and I would slip under, unsure of whether I would resurface or not. The hospital gave me no hope or refuge, knowing that my only option was to wait and that my only weapon was time. I did pull out, damage done, this time. I come through with the knowledge that it is only by the grace of god and the tools He has given me that I have another day with my family. There is no cure for sarcoidosis, only treatments that do as much harm as good. I find peace in my faith and the promise that when I go, this disease will no longer plague me. But as I watch the people I love struggle with illness, disease and death that THEY DON’T HAVE TO BEAR, it strengthens my resolve to share with them firstly my faith in the TRUE physician…and the tools that He has given us to PREVENT sickness and suffering. I know that I know that if I had not begun eating better and supplementing where my diet fails with Juice Plus, my body could not have pulled through last week. My doctor confirmed that my blood work had never looked as good as it did when I visited a month ago. My body chemistry has changed for the better, so much so that she thought I was getting vitamin and mineral injections with my specialists. Had those weapons not been in place to help support my faulty immune response, system failures would have followed. Before Juice Plus, the last viral assault sent me Into atrial fibrillation and I spent 2 weeks on an ICU crash room waiting for heart failure, a heart attack, a stroke or respiratory arrest from a pulmonary embolism.

If you think I push Juice Plus on every person I know and care about, you are damn Skippy. If you think you can’t afford that 2 to 3.50 a day, add up what you spent on coffee or monsters to get going, over the counter or prescription meds you take to KEEP going, or the junk food from whatever fast food joint or gas station counter you just could not pass up today. Better yet, have a look at my hospital bills or those of the people you and I know who have cancer, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure or any of the other first world ailments we Don’t have to develop that our busy, fast food lifestyle so stealthily gifts us with.

Your life and your health Is worth more than that. YOU are worth more than that. So am I gonna tell you more about Juice Plus and what it will do to make you healthier and happier? You bet. In love, I PRAY that you will take the time to read my posts today…to look at the research…to listen to doctors, nutritionists, and average Joe’s like me who have seen it work…and that you’ll realize that your life and your health is worth it. ♡

Happy Anniversary to my Husband Karl

Twenty-seven years and going strong. Throughout all of our trials and tribulations we have grown stronger, loved harder and served a wonderful God. My husband Karl McNeill Sr. is an amazing man and a wonderful father. When I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis fifteen years ago, he held my hand and said Baby we got this. And I have to say, we are all fighting this together. #SarcoidosisSucks!

Happy 27th Anniversary

Sold to the Bears by Amira Rainn

Lila survived through double tragedies. First with the murder of her biological parents to wolves led by their Alpha Malachi, and finally through the deaths of her adoptive parents. One has to be strong as a human growing up amongst the very same wolf shifters that killed your biological parents.

Later after the deaths of her adoptive parents the elder wolves decided that she had no place living in their town of Stony Rapids so the auctioned her off to bear shifters of Sun Creek. Their town wasn’t anything like Stony Rapids. It was beautiful and more advanced than the dirt roads she was used to during the Post Freeze era. Due to the Post Freeze, women were of very few, which was why the auctions took place; and Lila being a curvaceous beauty could bring in a lot of coins.

Grant, Adrian and Samuel were not only brothers, but they were hella fine in every way. Especially with their sleepy like sexy eyes. Although each brought to the table different personalities and strengths, ultimately Grant was the chief of the town of Sun Creek. They all lived in a very large home with the rest of their loving family.  The elder of the home was their Aunt Mil who I loved in this book. She took care of everybody even Lila when she came to live with them.  First very apprehensive because of the circumstance, but ultimately embracing their love when she came to know them.

The difficultly with Lila lay in her choosing between Grant and Adrian to be her mate for life and all the while dealing with the fighting between the bear shifters and wolf shifters. Who will Lila choose? Will her cold, wounded heart heal and allow her to embrace the love that she deserves? Will wolves ever stop the attacks on Stony Rapids in effort to gain their wealth and access to their commodity? All the answers and more are in this book. It is truly a book worth reading. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Costs of Getting Well…

FB_20150224_20_26_32_Saved_PictureAs most of us budget our finances to include our medical expenses, are you finding it harder to cover those that traditional insurance do not cover? I chose to seek out a holistic approach to my wellness plan. I receive acupuncture, chiropractic as well a naturopathic care. Traditional medical insurance only covers 12 visits for chiropractic treatments. Acupuncture and naturopaths are not covered. Out of pocket costs are extreme. You have to wonder why if these treatments could help us achieve a state of normalcy in our lives, move us on and away from pain medicines; basically giving us back our health. Why wouldn’t those modalities be included in a wellness package? I tried a go fund campaign to help offset my medical expenses but that failed. I want to live a normal life but this disease has taken that away from me. An example of why I have these questions is this, my Medicare prescription coverage changed at the beginning of the year. All of the prescriptions prescribed for me by specialist’s to combat or deal with the symptoms of Sarcoidosis were denied pending an appeal. All of my doctors wrote letters to explain why the drugs were medically necessary and the insurance company still denied them. Thank God for my husband’s insurance. They covered them but the copayments were higher. All and all, there are many that may not have a fall back insurance as I have. What happens to them. This is why it is important to educate the insurance companies about Sarcoidosis. We are all striving to beat this disease and we have to fight for the inclusion of holistic care to be considered as a part of our wellness care.
